H.O.G. Chapter Ride - The Ride 365 Blues

Event date:
Sun, 04/21/2024 - 12:00am to 3:00pm

Chapter Members!

Please join RCs Chuck P. and John B. for a 2-day ride to Tunica, MS, for a H.O.G. Ride 365 Adventure.

Stage at RHD at 9:00am, Saturday, April 20, with KSU at 9:30am.  We should be back at RHD around 3pm on Sunday, April 21. The ride will be approximately 220 miles each day.

The goal of this ride will be to pick up as many Ride 365 checkpoints as possible.  Lunch on Day 1 will be in Corinth, MS.  The Gateway to the Blues Visitor Center is a 10-for-24 Checkpoint and will be the primary destination for the trip, coupled with riding a segment of The Blue Highway between Tunica and Memphis.

Along the way, we’ll pick up dealership check-ins in Tuscumbia and Memphis, and we’ll make a quick stop at the onramp to the Natchez Tracefrom Hwy 72 (for anyone who still needs the Natchez Trace 50-Rides checkpoint).  We’ll stay the night in Robinsonville, MS (See below for suggested hotel(s)).  We’ll head back on Sunday.  Saturday evening, we can either venture into Memphis as a group, do something else, or do our own things.

For the ride back, we’ll decide whether to come back via HW72 and stop at the Corinth Battlefield Museum for an hour or two, to come back through Tupelo with a stop at the Elvis Homecoming Statue and lunch.  The Tupelo path would be the more interesting route.

Suggested Hotel is Quality Inn and Suites, in Robinsonville, MS.  Another nearby choice is Welcome Inn and Suites, also in Robinson, MS.

The Blues Museum is the Official Destination for this ride and ride pins will be awarded there.  If anyone wants to break off from the pack at that point, you certainly may.
