HOG Chapter Ride - Memorial Ride - Bob M.

Event date:
Sat, 05/28/2022 - 9:30am to 2:30pm

You are cordially invited to participate in a Memorial Ride to honor Bob M.  Details...

What:  Memorial Ride to Honor Bob M.

When:  9am, Saturday, May 28

Where:  Redstone H-D to Fire By The Lake restaurant (3370 AL-69, Guntersville, AL, 35976) & back to Redstone H-D.

On Saturday, May 28, please plan to meet @ Redstone H-D no later than 9am for KSU @ 9:30.  A ride pre-brief will occur at 9:10.

We'll head west on the access road, hit I565 to I65 and proceed left on Hwy 67.  We'll follow Hwy 67 to a left on Hwy 36 then a right on Union Hill Rd.  We'll go right on Hwy 231 then left on Eddy Scant City Rd and follow it to a left on Hwy 69.  From there, Fire By The Lake will be on the left near the lake bridge.

Afterwards, we'll return to RHD in reverse order of the route we came.

The plan:  Our intent is to honor Bob with a farewell toast.  We'll get seated and order our drinks and food.  Once drinks arrive, we'll open the floor to fond memories/stories of Bob, then we'll close with a toast in Bob's honor.  We'll then break bread in fellowship of our friend, Bob M.

Note:  We'll have 5 Road Captain's interlocked with comms while on this ride.  Additionally, we've coordinated with the Manager at Fire By the Lake for our arrival and orders.  Please think about what you might order.  At the ride pre-brief, we'll try to get a headcount of orders to ready the restaurant in advance.

Special Menu:

1. Mess Of Fries $6.99

French fries loaded with cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and chives served with a side of ranch dressing

2. Chips Cheese & Salsa $5.99

3. Bacon Cheeseburger $13.99

Burger with bacon, American cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles served with fries

4. Grilled Chicken Sandwich $12.99

Grilled chicken breast with mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes served with fries

5. Chicken Parmesan $15.99

Fried chicken breast topped with marinara and melted mozzarella cheese served over spaghetti noodles with marinara sauce served with garlic toast

They are fully expecting our arrival and planning for 40-50 riders...they can handle more if necessary.

Please RSVP--we would like to get a good estimate of our numbers for proper support planning.

Note:  We understand this is a traditionally busy Memorial Day weekend day; if you can make it (even if in a car), please come join us.  We understand otherwise.
